As a law group we are experienced in assisting in the structuring many types of investment. Specifically, over recent years we have built up significant expertise in the field of sustainable and responsible investing and in 2017 we launched our own impact investment manager, Wellers Impact. Our legal knowledge, impact investment knowledge and a network of partners who also understand this sector is a powerful combination if you are looking to bring an investment to market.

We find that we can achieve the best results for clients by engaging both Wellers Impact and Wellers Law Group side by side. This means we can call on our commercial and charity law teams at Wellers Law Group to deliver the legal elements required whilst the team at Wellers Impact has acquired many years’ understanding of the balance that needs to be struck between positive social and environmental outcomes and financial rewards in order to develop and structure successful impact investments. Furthermore, we are able to take on the impact measurement and monitoring that has rightly become an essential element of investing for good.
We are particularly proud of the team’s work with the charity, Water Unite, to structure the Water Unite Impact investment which helped to win the Impact project/investment of the year: Water category in the prestigious Environmental Finance IMPACT Awards 2021.
The team is heavily involved in a number of other investment projects, including working with a number of charities in East Africa to help them develop their real estate in order to provide a more sustainable income to expand their activities into the future.
