Neil Sandy
Neil Sandy joined Wellers as CEO in 2016, having known the practice partners and been a client of the firm for a number of years. Neil has an investment and banking background and worked in a number of senior positions with Barclays Wealth until 2006. Neil built up and sold a well-known City-based asset manager to the independent founder of Best Invest in 2014.
Neil is the CEO of Wellers Impact, an FCA authorised investment business that works with global charities and businesses to help them unlock their real estate and other assets. This investment management business aims to deliver a fair return to investors and deliver a transformational social outcome, an investment class known as Impact Investing.
Neil is also a trustee of GivingWorks, www.givingworks.org.uk, a charity which supports businesses and individuals to be philanthropic. In addition to this, he is a trustee of Windle, www.windle.org.uk, which helps to educate over 1 million refugees across East Africa’s refugee camps and for over a decade, Neil has chaired Five Talents, www.fivetalents.org.uk, the Church of England's microfinance charity and business development charity.
Nina Rajani
Nina deals with all aspects of commercial property and investment property. This includes advice on identifying and acquiring both commercial and residential portfolios as well as locating and dealing with the legal aspects of high value residential property sale and purchase.
Nina works closely with clients to assist with acquisitions and disposals of freehold and leasehold commercial and residential premises and mixed use developments. She also has expertise in landlord and tenant issues, portfolio management, site assembly and development and real estate finance.
Nina advises a wide variety of clients including property developers, investors, including overseas investors, retailers, hotels; restaurants and public houses and high net worth individuals.
Joe Reeves
Joe is a civil and commercial litigator with experience covering a wide range of practice areas including commercial and contract litigation, property disputes including landlord and tenant litigation, banking and corporate disputes, professional negligence and debt recovery.
Having qualified in 2010, Joe provides in-depth expertise for landlord and tenant disputes and representation in relation to boundary and right of way disputes, forfeiture, rent recovery, dilapidations and service charge disputes.
Michael Kelion
Michael has specialised throughout his career in the acquisition of restaurant, leisure and retail property for multiple as well as independents. Providing a tailor-made service as member of their property team he acted for Carluccio’s throughout their 100 unit nationwide roll-out as well as other Busaba Eathai, Gaucho and Escape Hunt. Current clients include Glendola Leisure, Sam’s Riverside, Crepeaffaire, the former CEO of D and D restaurants, a multiple U.S. event and restaurant operator along with start-ups.
In addition to property acquisition he can provide other property services including rent reviews, lease renewals and building surveys. He also has excellent contacts across all aspects of the leisure industry including landlords, agents, licensing solicitors, lenders and private equity.
Nina Francis
Nina advises clients in a variety of sectors. She primarily advises individuals in non-contentious matters (for example advising on Executive Service Agreements and Settlement Agreements including in connection with high level negotiated exits) and a number of contentious matters (for example contractual disputes, unfair dismissals, TUPE matters, and discrimination claims).
She also assists SME clients with day-to-day HR queries, dealing with business-wide projects such as restructuring, redundancies and advising on contractual issues such as bonus arrangements and restrictive covenants. She also regularly advises on settlement negotiations.
Marco Dellapina
Marco is a Solicitor in the firm’s commercial real estate team and his practice areas include acquisitions, disposals, financing, development, asset management and corporate-related transactions. Marco is based in our London City office.
He advises on a wide range of property-related disputes including possession/forfeiture proceedings, service charge/rent disputes, dilapidation claims, breach of covenant actions and tenant insolvency matters.
His clients include multiple retailers, investment managers and private family offices whom he advises on all commercial and strategic legal aspects of their operations.
Marco has a diverse practice which also encompasses assisting his clients in the resolution of complex disputes in the fields of commercial litigation.
Kim Whitaker
As a lawyer with over 30 years’ experience gained in-house and in private practice, Kim has worked with a variety of clients on corporate and commercial matters including business sales and acquisitions, shareholders agreements, joint ventures, partnership agreements, employee share schemes, IT and other commercial contracts.
Elizabeth Edu
Elizabeth is a qualified Immigration Caseworker whom specialises in almost all areas of Immigration Law such as: Business Immigration (Sponsor licence applications, Skilled Worker visa applications, Graduate Trainee, Expansion Worker and Global Business Mobility visas). Fiancée visas, Spouse visas, UK Ancestry, Youth Mobility visas, UK Student Visas, Indefinite Leave to Remain, leave to remain (outside the rules) and British Citizenship applications.
Elizabeth provides Immigration assistance to both companies and individuals in respect of their Immigration matters.
Guy Ruddle
Guy Ruddle is an investment structurer and analyst, and a Director of Wellers Impact which specialises in social impact investments.
Guy is a qualified accountant with more than twelve years of experience within the financial services sector. He trained with Deloitte in South Africa, Australia and Ireland. He then spent over six years at Man Group PLC in London managing their Structured Products Valuation Team followed by three years with Morgan Stanley in London helping to set up a Global Financial Resources Team within the Equities Division. He spent the last three years at Truestone Impact Investment Management Ltd where he was the Senior Investment Analyst, a member of the Investment Management Committee and assisted the CEO on the sale of the financial advisory part of the business.
Guy is also a Director of Wellers Impact, an FCA authorised investment business that works with global charities and businesses to help them unlock their real estate and other assets. This investment management business aims to deliver a fair return to investors and deliver a transformational social outcome, an investment class known as Impact Investing. The investment team is currently delivering on a 16 storey commercial building project partnering with CMS Africa, an NGO based in Nairobi, Kenya and has over $1bn of projects available for development in its pipeline.
