Piers Woods has broad experience acting for property investors, developers and lenders across a range of transactional, security and strategic matters. Piers’ expertise also includes landlord and tenant work; advising and acting for local government organisations, charities and family trusts on a variety of issues; easements, sales, purchases, refinancing and transfers of land, commercial premises and residential properties, acting for businesses, individuals, families, estates, trustees, charities and unincorporated associations; and, first registration and adverse possession of unregistered land.

Piers applies his natural inquisitiveness to get to know clients and their business, and to understand the drivers and context of any given matter. Combining technical expertise and practical experience with a proactive, outcome-driven approach, he seeks to identify any issues which may need to be tackled early, then helps to navigate as efficient a route as possible to the desired result.

Piers trained and qualified at a Top 100 firm, where he spent the early years of his career, before moving to a boutique City practice and more recently working at Top 200 firms in Kent and Cambs/Herts/Essex.

Beyond the office, Piers is a keen musician and cricketer, though the latter has become more of a ‘following interest’ since his main sport became weightlifting and running around after his young children.
