Chris qualified as a solicitor in 2007 and has developed a broad litigation practice advising both private and commercial clients.

His practice encompasses a range of contentious work including Inheritance Act disputes, contentious probate, property litigation, commercial litigation, landlord & tenant (including a proven track record in recovering possession of residential property for landlords), TOLATA disputes, debt recovery, enforcement of judgments, and construction & engineering disputes.

He is experienced in both High Court and County Court proceedings and is a strong advocate of mediation as a form of alternative dispute resolution.

His notable cases include Hand –v- George [2017] EWHC 533 (Ch) in which the High Court upheld the right of adopted grandchildren to inherit under a 1946 will trust which did not include them within a class of beneficiaries because of the statutory definition of ‘children’ in force at the date of the will.

Chris worked in outside industry before becoming a solicitor and brings a commercial outlook to his current work. He is approachable, personable and thorough. He covers both the Sevenoaks and Chislehurst offices.

Outside of work, Chris enjoys cycling and watching football.
