Compensation for dental injuries varies greatly depending upon the level of discomfort and whether this causes any difficulty in eating. As a result of the initial injury a course of treatment is usually required. Chronic tooth pain (£31,000) such as an untreated abscess, causes pain over a number of years and results in deterioration to the condition of the existing teeth. This can include loss of or damage to the back teeth (£900 – £1,000 per tooth). Loss or serious damage to one front tooth (£1,000 – £3,000) Loss or serious damage to two front teeth (£3,000 – £6,000). Loss or serious damage to several front teeth (£7,000 – £9,000).
